Title Fight - Floral Green Review

Floral Green is the junior release by Title Fight, a four piece band from Kingston, Pennsylvania. Each of their past two releases, the band has taken on a different sound from the last. Their first album showed more of their punk roots stemming from the 90's band Lifetime. Their next album "Shed" showed more of a melodic hardcore feel. It still had the punk feel also but used more melodic parts in than their first album. Now, Floral Green is a complete mix of "The Last Thing You Forget "and "Shed" and even added a bunch of new elements that we have never heard inside a Title Fight song.  The album starts out with "Numb, But I Still Feel It" which reminds me of a B-Side that could have been taken from Shed. On their first album, Jamie and Ned share the vocals while Jamie did most of them. On Shed they switched roles while Ned did more of the singing while Jamie only had a few parts. On Floral Green it felt like Ned and Jamie split the roles on the album, which fits perfectly. Jamie's voice fit perfect on their first album and Ned's fit perfectly on their second. On Floral Green with the punk, hardcore, indie influences they use to mold the beautiful album, this will be one album that I will be replaying for a very long time.

My rating: 5/5.

  1. Again, really nice job. I love that so far you've found two local-ish bands.
